End the Veterans Gun Ban — Support the Veterans Second Amendment Protection Act (H.R. 1041/S. 478)

Petition to my U.S. Senators and my U.S. Representative

WHEREAS: The Second Amendment guarantees the right of law-abiding citizens — including our veterans — to keep and bear arms; and

WHEREAS: Thousands of veterans have been wrongly reported to the FBI’s NICS system simply for appointing help with their finances, without due process; and

WHEREAS: This policy is a clear violation of Constitutional rights and has disarmed those who once swore an oath to protect ours.

THEREFORE: I respectfully urge you to advance and vote for the Veterans Second Amendment Protection Act (H.R. 1041/S. 478) while ensuring it:

  • Prohibits any new NICS reporting of veterans over financial decisions;
  • Removes all veterans already impacted by this policy; and
  • Includes strong safeguards to prevent future abuses by federal agencies.

Dear Fellow Patriot,

Thousands of American veterans have lost their Second Amendment rights for simply appointing someone to help manage their finances.

Under a long-standing and deeply unjust policy, the bureaucrats at the VA are reporting veterans to the NICS “No Buy” list without due process.

This bureaucratic scheme has disarmed tens of thousands of men and women who bravely served our nation.

The Veterans Second Amendment Protection Act (H.R. 1041/S. 478) now seeks to undo this grave injustice.

Our veterans risked everything to defend our rights. Now it’s time to defend theirs.

Please sign your petition above to encourage your lawmakers to take action and help bring an end to the Veterans Gun Ban.
