WHEREAS:
The Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution clearly states "the right of the people to keep and bear arms, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED"; and
WHEREAS:
President Biden and anti-gun lawmakers are pushing a so-called "Assault Weapons" Ban to BAN the sale, transfer, importation, manufacturing, and possession of MILLIONS of semi-automatic firearms and standard-capacity magazines, simply for "looking scary"; and
WHEREAS:
Any ban on firearms is UNCONSTITUTIONAL under the Second Amendment, ILLEGAL under the Supreme Court's recent Bruen decision, and a precursor to GUN CONFISCATION.
THEREFORE:
As your constituent, I insist you OPPOSE AND VOTE AGAINST any so-called "Assault Weapons" Ban and all other radical schemes to gut our Second Amendment rights. The National Association for Gun Rights will keep me informed of your actions.
